About My Classes

I am fully trained and certified to teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. Most of my public yoga classes are in the Vinyasa yoga style, which is all about flowing from one asana to the next in beautiful, creative sequences.

Staying faithful to the ancient traditions of yoga, my classes include meditation, pranayama (breathwork exercises), sun salutations, asana sequences and OM chanting.

I also offer a soothing sound bath at the end of class, which is a time for deep relaxation known as shavasana.

You can find out more about my pregnancy yoga classes here, and my postnatal yoga with baby classes here.

Are my classes suitable for beginners?

Yes. My classes are suitable for all ages and abilities, whether you are a complete beginner or you have been practicing for years. I always offer various adaptations and modifications, alongside the use of props, to help you adapt the class to your unique mind and body.

If you are new to yoga, some nerves and apprehension are completely normal. You might even find your first class off-putting, due to the unfamiliar nature of the practice. I deeply encourage you to try a few sessions before deciding whether or not yoga is for you. Yoga can be for everyone - so long as you keep an open mind and be patient with yourself :)

If you are feeling nervous about being in a group class, I also offer private 1:1 classes.

What do I need to bring?

I advise you to wear comfy clothes you can move freely in. It’s also a good idea to bring an extra layer and some warm socks, as the body can become cooler during meditation and shavasana. Feel free to bring a pillow and blanket if you want to be extra cosy!

Please bring your own yoga mat, if you have one, and any props you like to use in your practice. I do have some spare yoga mats, as well as plenty of blocks and straps for everyone to use.
